Brief history

Page Aspen Line began when founder Yoon Seo-hyeon, a bookbinder trained in Seoul and Kyoto, noticed clients asking for ledgers that could outlast both laptops and label printers. Cold storage holders arrived with index cards, thermal-printed seed backups, and handwritten scraps that failed the test of time and legibility.

In 2019 we opened a small bindery in Nam-gu, Busan, dedicated to structured recovery record books—not generic journals. We partnered with a local archival paper supplier and developed section templates with input from estate planners and long-term hardware wallet users in the region.

By 2022 we added documentation consultations and family workshop sessions. Today we serve clients across South Korea and occasional international visitors who schedule sessions while in Busan. We remain a hands-on studio: every binding passes through our workshop, and every consultation is led by trained staff, not automated intake forms.

Our approach

We treat recovery documentation as a craft discipline. Paper choice, margin width, and section order affect whether an heir can follow instructions under stress. We prompt for wallet labels, backup rotation dates, and storage locations using field names that match how holders actually speak about their setups.

We never request seed phrases by email, never photograph open recovery sheets during sessions, and do not retain copies of completed sensitive pages. Clients leave with a bound volume or a clear action plan; we keep only order records and binding specifications.

Relationship to clients

Most clients return for annual verification log updates, rebinding after years of use, or duplicate volumes for secondary storage. We do not sell hardware wallets or recovery software; our role is the paper layer that makes offline holdings explainable to the people you trust.
